Malaysian recipe: Crepe

Ingredients 

For the crepe

  • 4gr of baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 33cl of whole milk
  • 40gr butter
  • 70gr of vanilla sugar

For the garnish

  • 300gr of peanut
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of sesame seed

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Sift the flour with the baking soda. Put that aside and melt the butter.

Step 2

Add the egg, the sugar, the melted butter and the milk to the flour-baking soda. Put the whole preparation in a mixing bowl and let it beat until it gets smooth.

Step 3

Cover and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

Crush the peanut

Now that 30 minutes passed, take some new butter and let it melt in a hot stove.

Step 6

Spread the preparation with a perimeter of 2 cm on the pan. It must be cooked for 5 minutes. But while it’s being cooked…

Step 7

Sprinkle the peanut, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/5 tablespoon of sesame seeds on the preparation that’s not cooked yet.

Step 8

Now fold the crepe in half and let it cook for one minute.

Step 9

Serve and enjoy after cooking all the crepes.
